Renaissance Center’s choral groups present holiday concerts Tuesday and Thursday

The Renaissance Center’s youth and adult choral programs present their annual holiday concerts this week. The Training and Children’s Choirs’ Holiday Concert is 7 pm Tuesday and the Community Chorus and Chamber Choir concert is 7 pm Thursday. Both concerts will be presented in the Anne Deason Performance Hall at the center and tickets are $5 for each show. Directed by Chris Greene, the Training Choir is comprised of first and second graders while the Children’s Choir is for students in grades 3-6. The concert features traditional and modern Christmas music. At Thursday night’s concert, the Chamber Choir and Community Chorus will perform a variety of traditional, classical and contemporary holiday favorites. The performance concludes with the “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s “Messiah” from both groups and all past members in attendance.
