Sheriff’s office says 4 churches in north end of county hit by burglars this month

Dickson County investigators say four churches in the north end of the county have been burglarized this month. Investigators say most of the break-ins are similar in nature but could not say for sure if they are related. Since Jan. 4, break-ins have been reported at Friendship Church of Christ on Rock Springs Road, Dunn Chapel Church of Christ on Dunn Chapel Road, Mount Olive Church of Christ on Maple Valley Road and Soules Chapel United Methodist Church on Highway 48 North. In each break-in, entry was made by breaking out a window or through a rear door. The churches reported electronics stolen as well as household items such as cleaning supplies and there was graffiti reported at one church. The Dickson County Sheriff’s Office reported it would have extra patrols around churches in the north end of the county. Anyone with information on these burglaries is asked to contact Det.
