The suspect who stole over $1,200 from cash registers at the Dickson Wal-Mart on Sunday is believed to have hit two other stores in Clarksville that same night. Det. James Eubank of the Dickson Police Department said the suspect is believed to be a serial thief who targets Wal-Mart stores across the southeastern United States. The same heavy-set, white male appears in security video images from the Dickson store and two Wal-Marts in Clarksville Sunday evening prying open cash register drawers and taking cash. Clarksville police have not released how much money was taken from the two stores in Montgomery County. The suspect hit two cash registers in the automotive service area at the Dickson store around 7:20 pm Sunday. Security video images show him prying open a cash register at a Clarksville Wal-Mart just before 9 pm Sunday. Eubank said the suspect left the Dickson store in a grey or silver four-door vehicle, possibly a Toyota Camry. He said similar thefts have been reported across the region.
