Cougar Fletcher Valentine grabbed a gold medal and three other Dickson County wrestlers earned top-four finishes in the 13th annual Fandetti-Richardson Brawl hosted Saturday by Science Hill High School in Johnson City. Valentine battled to first place in the 182-pound class as the Cougars head into their final tune-ups before the district duals begin next week. Cougars Dakota Sullivan, Luke Humphreys and Shawn Vincent all finished in fourth place in their weight divisions at Science Hill. Beau Badon took fifth place, Nathan Glascock was sixth, Adelaido Pantaleon finished seventh and Austin Goetz and Hunter Smith came in eighth in a tournament that drew teams from five states. The Cougars travel to Eagleville Tuesday and host Greenbrier and Cheatham County Thursday in their final matches before the district duals begin next week. With their close loss to Clarksville last week, the Cougars will enter the duals as the number two seed with the Wildcats number one.
