WDKN and The One FM will celebrate their new home with an Open House on Thursday. The public is invited to tour the new studios and offices at 108 West College Street beginning at 5 pm Thursday. The radio stations’ new listener lounge will host live performances by RCA recording artist Joanna Smith and new renegade country trio Angel Mary and the Tennessee Werewolves. Smith’s hits have included We Can’t Be Friends, Farm Girl, Getting Married and her current single Girls Are Crazy. Next month the Georgia native will be on tour with Miranda Lambert. Angel Mary is joined by her father and brother, Antoine and Christian Wolf, and the Hendersonville trio has burst onto the country scene with its debut single Cowboy. The trio will be making its first appearance at CMA’s Fan Fest in June. Thursday’s open house will include refreshments catered by City Lake Cafe and several door prizes. The new WDKN and The One FM studios are at 108 West College Street in the building that formerly housed Bear Claw Locksmith and the Bear’s Den cigar shop, and previously Harry’s Radiator Service at the corner of North Mulberry Street. The radio station moved to its current location in August, marking its fourth different location since first coming on the air in 1955.
