Candidates for mayor and town council in White Bluff will participate in a forum at the White Bluff Community Center tonight. The 7 pm forum is being presented by the White Bluff Economic and Community Development Board, WDKN and The One FM and The Dickson Herald. White Bluff voters will be electing a mayor and two council members for four-year terms. Mayor Linda Hayes is seeking a second term and is opposed by former Mayor Vance Smith. There are five candidates on the ballot for the two seats on the town council: Dan Clark, Darrell Frizsell, Ellen Campbell Marsh, Stephanie Murrell and Bobbye Phillips. Martha Beth Harding has qualified as a write-in candidate for the council. Incumbents Allen Johnson and Dale Whitfield chose not to seek re-election, leaving the two seats open on the five-member council. The remaining seats on the council will be on the ballot in 2014.
