A Winter Weather Watch has been issued for Dickson County and western Middle Tennessee for Friday. A cold front moving through the area could turn rain into freezing rain and/or snow as temperatures will start to drop Thursday and continue falling through Friday. The watch begins around 9 am Friday and continues until midnight. The National Weather Service says freezing rain could cause up to a half inch of ice accumulation combined with possibly up to an inch of snow. The system could result in hazardous driving conditions and the potential for power outages due to ice buildup. Another system could bring more rain Sunday with temperatures around the freezing mark.
