DICKSON, Tenn. — Residents of Dickson and surrounding areas can mark their calendar as Food Truck Friday returns to the Mulberry Mill Parking lot once a month, an evening filled with different food truck options, live music, and family-friendly entertainment.

The annual Food Truck Friday was first held on June 3rd, 2022, and was a big event for the community. Following an intricate process to be allowed within city limits, food trucks are now allowed under special event permits in specific Dickson County locations.

Chris Maguire, CEO at HauteWheels Rolling Sandwich Company, serves as one of the people behind Food Truck Fridays, organizing food trucks, music, and overseeing finances. Maguire highlighted changes to the event, including the allowance for food vendors to sell from tents and adjusted operating hours from 5 to 9 PM.

“We’re excited,” Maguire expressed, “I’m glad they didn’t go away, and we have this opportunity and not let someone else take this over.”

Maguire assured attendees that the team is well-prepared to handle any challenges that may arise. Moreover, the focus has shifted towards enhancing the musical aspect of the event, with plans to feature a 20-piece jazz ensemble on May 17th. However, due to weather, the committee has rescheduled the event for May 31st.

Food Truck Fridays are a chance for local small businesses to get visibility in addition to offering a venue for delicious food. There is something for everyone at this event, including food, music, vendors, and entertainment for the whole family.

For more information and updates, residents are encouraged to visit the Downtown Dickson Food Truck Friday’s Facebook page or if interested in being a vendor you can sign up through the website. Downtown Dickson Food Truck Friday Food Vendor Application (jotform.com)
